fast1gt
Does anyone know which bulkhead offers the most amount of room to slide the drivers seat back and recline? I'm a big guy and need the space.
bikinchris
All the bulkheads I have seen allow the seat to go all the way back on the track and lean back a decent amount. I wish the seat went back a little further myself.
Rich Arsenault
Where can I find these bulkhead options? Thank you-Rich
bikinchris
Companies like Ranger, Weatherguard and others offer bulkheads. Many of them are available with or without windows and some have stiff wire mesh instead of solid construction.
fast1gt
Well my original question was which one offers the MOST amount of room. I put the seat all the way back and lean it back quite a bit. I have read that several companies state they allow the seat all the way back but they don't state how much recline is allowed. It would be nice if they could give a dimension off the door frame or something. I hate to buy something an have to take it back out because it is to uncomfortable. I guess I am forced to go by how the picture looks.
103west43rd
Hello fast1gt. From what I have seen, none of the bulkheads allow any more than the "normal" seat back reclining. What is "normal", and if that meets your requirements is, of course, what you are asking. Start with www.inlad.com , They have had commercial accessories for the Transit Connect since 2009. I have purchased from them (although not the bulkhead). They have good pictures posted on their website of the various bulkheads they stock, although none of them have anything but very general descriptions of seat adjustments. You have a tough question to answer. Another place to start would be your Ford dealer. Mine has multiple Transit Connects with bulkheads installed. If your dealer has any on the lot, try them out. Good luck.
fast1gt
Well I just installed the Ranger Design C10-E. I purchased it because from the pictures of all the bulkheads I saw on line this one appeared to have to most reclining room. I can put the seat full back AND recline quite a bit. The dimension I couldn't get from anyone, from the back of the door post to the farthest point on the bulkhead, is 10 inches.

hdrider
The file uploader must be broken. It tells me the file is too big, but it is only 41K. I have successfully uploaded files before, can the moderator help with this?
windguy
The file uploader must be broken. It tells me the file is too big, but it is only 41K. I have successfully uploaded files before, can the moderator help with this? I ran into this same problem. Took a while for me to figure why this was happening. You're only allowed 500K for uploaded pics. Number of pics doesn't matter. So mostly likely you've already uploaded 459K worth of pics and only have 41K left. If you delete some of those pics you will free up memory space, or upload it to the gallery then attach. haven't tried that method left. Moderator - if you can increase the allocated size for uploads, that would be very helpful. thanks!
