azulejost
My growing family has led me to consider the upcoming 2014 Transit Connect Wagon as my primary vehicle. At the time the TC originally launched, I did not need the space and wished for a few more amenities on the interior and a different powertrain. Now, Ford is making considerable changes in the move to the new C1 platform shared with the current Focus and Escape. With the order guide posted yesterday, I will have to take some time to decide exactly which specifications and options are most important. I don't need 7 seats, but the extra space with fold-flat 2nd and 3rd rows means I'll almost certainly go with a LWB model anyway. A couple of my considerations are with the type of rear door--either the side-hinged cargo doors or the liftgate--and the panoramic roof vs. overhead console. It seems there will be plenty of time to decide since I'm now hearing it won't be on dealer lots until early 2014. I look forward to using this site as we get closer to the launch of the new model. Anyone else giving the '14 TCW consideration for a personal, family vehicle or have thoughts about it?
mrtn
I am. My 2006 TC is on its way out and I haven't found any funky ones from competitors. Most likely I'll get a 1.6L Ecoboost automatic. I have a 2-seater cargo van at the moment, I think that's the model I'll be getting next.
