mrbridgeport
Hi Everyone, I have a knocking from the front end over rough roads, potholes, speedbumps etc. Especially noticable at low speads and small left to right movements or when the front suspension drops to full extension. everything is stock on the van at this point. It seems to be from both sides which leads me to think its in the suspension. Anyone else had something similar and found the cure? 15k miles. seams a little rediculous
mrtn
That is really early for suspension knock unless you have hit a bad pot hole recently. Ford has always had notoriously bad sway bar drop links. Always fails at half the time of Japanese cars parts. It should be under warranty, so have it checked. Perhaps it's a bad steering rack from the factory. dbrana
fidelillo
I would belive it to be the top braket of suspension sturts. it will wear off by use, independently your shock absorbers are in good shape. its annoying!!
MonkMan2
I had the exact same symptoms, and tracked it down to the left sway bar link. It was an easy $30 DIY replacement, and it fixed the problem. Vehicle has 48K miles. Edited November 22, 2016 by MonkMan2
