i86hotdogs
I've been fighting an oxygen sensor code on my 2016 XL Cargo for over a year now. Replacing them gives me a week or two of no codes. I've read around where people modify a spark plug non-fouler to thread in the oxygen sensor to "trick" the vehicle in thinking it's running ok. I know the proper solution is to repair the original issue, which I believe is oil blow-by in the piston rings. But the van's paid off, it has 190k miles on it, and I don't want to drop thousands in to potentially an engine rebuild or new engine. Vehicle runs completely fine with the code active. There are no performance issues or decrease in fuel economy. Oil consumption is minimal; I lose about a half a quart every 6 months. Has anyone ran foulers in their O2 sensors with success? G B L
This is is designed to do what you want. Put it on the front O-2 sensor it should help with the code. Lots of people sell them.
