Hello from east-central Missouri, We are now proud owners of a 2018 Transit xl LWB - cargo model. There are two of us so two-seats are perfect. No windows on the side or back which is great for security. We plan to block the passenger side sliding door for larger/longer items. Now we want to prepare for visits campgrounds. We have a nice tent for outdoor camping in good weather and an air mattress so we can sleep in the van when the weather isn't so good. A Yeti cooler awaits our first trip. Now deciding what to do next. I want to hang our fishing poles so they are out of the way, maybe along passenger side or from the ceiling. Ideas appreciated on how to secure them. We are not wiring in anything but can always use the 12 volt outlet in the console for things like a fan for this summer. Is there a relatively inexpensive fan that would be good for these trips? Other items that might be useful that can be plugged into the console? And we are taking suggestions for making the space in the LWB a home away from home. Looking forward to hearing replies as well as reading other entries in the forums. Everyone have a magnificent non-snowy day (I'm in Missouri -- we are trying to turn into the new snow capital of the contiguous 48 states). BassoraMo

Hello and thanks for this forum. I recently purchased a 2011 XLT model with 106K miles on it. According to CarFax, it's an old State Farm mobile office vehicle. No back seats, a solid composite floor, and at one time had a desk and a chair for working with customers at remote sites. It has all the windows, which my wife likes for visibility purposes. It's in great shape, and runs well. Some things will need attention: The antenna is in the glove box (yes, I know it doesn't work as well as when it's on the roof). Need to find some replacement for that. The backup camera is VERY blurry. OEM unit runs about $250-400, so I may be looking at a retrofit of a cheaper unit. Check of normal maintenance items (fluids, tires, belts, etc). Other than that, the vehicle drives nicely, and should suit us well for its tasks: estate sales, light hauling, musical equipment, etc. Thanks again for having me, and I hope to chat with you all soon. Hi Everyone, New Member. Just wanted to introduce myself and show off my 2017 TC XLT. It was purchased summer of 2017 so we've had it a year now and love it. Just got it's first oil change at 6500 miles. I waited for the oil sensor to trip the warning which went against every bone in my body, but followed the manual. I owned a '98 F150 that gave out a month before I bought the TC and changed the oil religiously. Going from '98 to '17 has been quite the technological shock! The truck was all creaks and bumps and now all I hear are beeps and boops! Thanks for having me, JW
