  1. I'm posting this question for my friend Dan.. I'm trying to figure out how to drain and fill my 2015 Ford Transit Connect transmission. It has the 2.5l engine I want to make sure I know where the fill port is and any other necessary info. Thank you for your advice Dan Kendall
  2. @Loop79: As others have replied, it's really easy to rig up some sort of canopy atop the dual rear doors. Just use your imagination ? I have owned my 2020 FTC PW XLT LWB since December, purchased brand new. I'm really glad that I purchased the dual rear door version. There are so many benefits, but the ones that I like best are: - You can backup to within 2-feet of a wall and still get a door open to load/unload - You can just open one of the doors to load/unload small items - There is a latch that lets you open the rear door from inside the car. Nice feature when you're camping and sleeping inside the car. Good Luck ??
  3. @mrtn: Someone in an FTC Facebook group is asking about wanting to have this functionality in their driver's seat also. I tthinkthis person is in UK. Do you think they can buy a used passenger seat for an EU FTC (like one sold in France for example)? I wonder if the driver and passenger seats have different mounting bolt patterns, which might make this impossible. Thanks for your advice ??
  4. So you have an FTC cargo can, and you want to add be passenger seats and seatbelts in the cargo area? You really should hire a licensed professional to do that. The FTC cargo vans are not physically configured to attach passenger seats in the cargo area. A professional that specializes in vehicle modifications can do this for you.
  5. "Sunshade"? Are you referring to the opaque sliding cover that lives under your sunroof?
  6. I like your idea, Bastian. I just bought a 2020 FTC PW. I'm not ready to make permanent mods to it yet. I'd like to add a removable sleeping platform that sits atop The folded-down 2nd row and 3rd row seats. Maybe a plywood panel sitting on a 2x4 frame. Easily removable. Not bolted in. Then on top of the plywood, I could place a 5" thick foam mattress. And I would just use this configuration for weekend camping trips. After camping, I would remove and store the platform and mattress in my garage. Then the car reverts to a 6-passenger daily driver. I'm going to first try what the other gentleman said, just folding the seats down, putting a camping air mattress on top, then my sleeping bag, and see how comfortable it is. That sounds like a really simple test. When I read about people sleeping in their FTCs, many talk about condensation. Some leave the window open a bit. Some use little electric fans. The most serious actually cut a hole in the roof and install an electric fan. It will be interesting to see if I experience condensation after sleeping overnight in the car.
