  1. Interesting product, the 5mm insulation. Did you get the garage door kit or the big roll? Hard to believe something that thin achieves R-15, but I noticed in their technical specs that it got that rating by testing it in the center of a 2x6 studwall; and they mention that it performs better with a 1/2" to 3" air space. I suppose if you stick it to the top of the headliner that would leave some air space above. Are you going to do your side walls and panel over?
  2. Thanks very much for posting this. I was about to tackle removing the roof brake light on my TC, when I looked at those retainer buttons and decided to search "headliner" here first. Your post was just what I was hoping to find.
  3. The TC performed well in this crash; certainly better than the small box truck that t-boned it. Too bad Ford could not prevent the TC's driver from running the red light and causing the wreck. It looks like the side airbag deployed and saved his head anyway.
  4. Looks like the photos were removed or lost... Too bad, I'm getting ready to install some good aftermarket stuff and would like to see more examples of what others have done.
  5. XLT Wagon cost me $22,000 plus tax & license. I opted for 0%, 36 month financing from Ford Credit. Sticker was $23,975.
  6. Thanks Madlock! That clears that up. I hadn't noticed the date on the sticker in the box below the VIN till now. And yes, the serial number at the end of the VIN is higher for later assembly dates.
  7. I downloaded the Ford 2010 VIN guide at the following link. https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenance/vin_tools/default.asp Does anybody know if the last six digits of the Transit Connects VIN, which are specific to each individual vehicle, are sequentially related to the production date. In other words, is a higher number produced later in the year? Thanks, Roger
  8. I'll be very interested to hear about the price of this. It seems a some of the TC's in Europe have this ability. Certainly makes sense for here if you don't have to pay an arm & leg.
  9. OK, 'scuse me for being thick, but the columns aren't lining up good in my browser, and I'm not sure I understand what the numbers mean. Lemme guess: someone projects it would take 285 days to sell existing inventory of 16,200 TC's? Where are these figures from? I'm real close to pulling the trigger on buying an XLT wagon and have noticed a lot to choose from listed on AutoTrader right now. This is a good thing. I'm getting the impression, though, that dealers don't have much room to deal based on their costs.
