Hi. New member here. Have decided to convert a lwb Ford Transit Connect to a camper and am just starting to research the endeavour.

Not great at the diy so I will be getting help to do the work. I have a carpenter for the bed, cabinets etc. What other tradesman will I need..just an electrician ?

I'm looking to do all the essentials/basics such as insulation, electrics, heat/ventilation, fridge/cooking/running water etc.

One main requirement is interior bike storage (mtb). I presume it will be a tight fit but has anyone any clever examples of how they manage this (Is it possible to store a bike horizontally in the van. Maybe with wheels removed) ?

I am doing my own research/search function/Youtube etc but am reaching out for help also from people who have converted this specific van already.

Thanks for any help.

Search the forums and you will find multiple posts on bike racks both inside and outside. I doubt you will find a convenient way to hang your bike from the ceiling. Even with the front wheel removed, a bike takes up a lot of space. I understand the desire to have the bike inside but hitch mounted racks solve a lot of space problems. If you use one make sure you secure your bile with a u-type lock and not a cable.
