Chad
Hi I had the common issue with the inconsistent heating and had the head gasket/ water pump/ belts etc done which solved the issue however when I got the van back it had no power and was very slow. The garage are telling me they’re unsure of why? Fault code said it was a turbo pressure issue however they have sent it off for testing and said it’s working fine (apparently). They also did a turbo clean when doing the head. Has anyone experienced this or have an idea on what would cause this? Thanks
G B L
A good scan tool will let you see the boost pressure. If the engine had good power before the head gasket then some part of the pluming is not assembled correctly . Check how the waste gate is hooked up and see if the wiring or the pluming is ok. If the waste gate is stuck or hooked up wrong you will get no boost pressure. Let us know what happens .
