Nog
Hi all, Have just picked up my 2016 Tourneo Connect (assuming no differences to Transit connect except seating). I want to replace the headunit with something like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SONY-DAB-Apple-Android-Full-Screen-Fitting-kit-Ford-Transit-Connect-13-21-/274850180252?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 Just wanted to check I won't lose anything in terms of functionality. I noticed my parking sensors run through sync, so not sure they'll still work. Plan on adding a reversing camera, but be nice to keep sensors working. Anyway, does that look a good buy? Seems pricey but a nice option to get full Android auto etc. Thanks all
mrtn
Seems expensive, given it's a refurbished unit. Can't help you with parking sensors but you can also look at Pioneer and Kenwood. Note that some screens are resistive (pressure sensitive, like old touch screen phones) and others are capacitive (touch sensitive like all the newer phones since iPhone I). Nog
Cheers, yeah I thought it was expensive, but the facia/fixing kit alone is over 250 quid from them. Just wondering if there's anything more reasonable people have used. I'm after a head unit that will connect to a rear view camera and have Android auto. mrtn
What the hell. The fascia kit is 40 quid in Aliexpress ? You'll need the cable loom but these do not cost that much at all. Edited January 8, 2022 by mrtn Nog
Nog
Will check them out cheers. Glad I checked, it just seemed far too pricey for what it is.
