anothervanman
Hi, I am (trying) to install a reverse camera/dash cam in my van. I was trying to find a fuse in the passenger fuse box (under the glovebox) and discovered that my F80 fuse has a 20 fuse in it. According to my manual, my 2017 Ford Transit Connect doesn't have a use. But it seems to be live and with a 20 fuse on it, I don't understand what it could be used for. Anyone have any advice on how I can figure this out? I don't want to use a fuse if it is for something important. Also, is it safe to put a 5A fuse tap to a 20A fuse location? Don Ridley
F80 is a spare 20A fuse. There is a 20A fuse installed. Other unused slots don't have fuses. I don't know the reason why. Adding a 5A fused circuit onto the 20A fuse will be OK. You can also remove the 20A fuse and replace it with a 5A.
