Only one headlight lights up when unlocking with key fob

Recommended Posts

When I unlock my 2010 TC with the remote on the key fob, only one of the headlights lights up. This isn't a problem per se - both headlights work fine in normal operation - but I wonder if it means something?

I have a friend with a newer TC that does the same thing.

If you mean "are the headlights controlled by a switch on the turn signal stalk," no. It's on the dashboard to the left of the steering column.

No, I have a TC, I know where the switches are located, I mean is your turn signal stalk "ON" when the car acts this way?

Mine did similar. When  I turned the lights on to drive I saw the lights on fine, but with remote unlock at night I saw one light out. It was hard to tell and see with my old/cloudy headlights, but after further inspection when I was swapping out my bulbs for LEDs I found the marker light on the inside of the headlights (Beside the actual headlight bulb) was out. When looking at the light at nightI assumed it was the headlight bul. It was not. Swapped the bulbs and now no further issues.
