DOUG
2010 Transit has poor FM reception on the factory radio (not sure about AM, I will check) Any suggestions on how to improve?
103west43rd
If it is the stock radio without the CD player, it is just lousy. Nothing you can do. I tried larger antennas, nothing worked. The upgraded radio with the CD player is better, not great, but useable. if you have the model without the CD player, replace it with a aftermarket model. bryce6
My employer just bought a Transit Connect for my deliveries. I have owned plenty of various cars, vans, etc. in my life. I never had one with such a crummy radio. I get 25 or 30 miles out of town and can't hardly pick up any stations AM or FM. My previous vehicle (Ford Windstar) could pull in stations 50 or more miles out. I read the other posts on antennas, etc., and guess the only solution to to get an aftermarket radio. Oh, and by the way, who was the moron that decided to put the antenna on the roof of an already high vehicle. I also have to remove it to get into my garage. Despite its pluses of room and fuel economy, Ford gets a huge zero for the radio.
mrtn
Is it under warranty? Go and have it checked out.
