Vander Woestijn Posted April 18, 2021 Share Posted April 18, 2021 (edited) I just installed directional LED strips on my 2014 TC front headlight assemblies ( before & after photos attached ) and the daytime lights now look as good as as the 2020 model! The same strip goes to a orange color with a directional DRL lighting show when the right or left signal is activated.. it looks sick! ? Just thought to share this quick and ease upgrade that cost about $25 from Amazon, if anyone is interested in more information about the sources or build steps. Laws are different everywhere. Where I live, a forward facing red light, flashing or steady, is a violation of the motor vehicle code. All forward facing lights must be white or yellow, with no more than 4 white lights illuminating the road. In a lot of places, red lights are for police, fire, ambulance....... My translation was not accurate about the the signal color and its definitely not red. As you can see from the attached photo, its a yellow/orange color, much like the original TC signal color on the headlight OEM assembly. gossipninja Posted November 26, 2022 Share Posted November 26, 2022 I am assuming you tapped into the headlight assembly wiring block, did you jump the "white" light off the low beam . parking light or other? I got a set of these and haven't installed them as I wasn't sure if I want white "always on" with acc power or only when parking lamps are on.
