Aaronsim19
I have a 2013 gen 2 tourneo connect, right hand drive and when parking today I had my foot on the footrest next to the clutch (near to centre console) and I noticed if I was stationary or moving slowly forward or backwards I can feel somthing moving/ grinding under the carpet in the foot well. There is no knocking noise or vibration up through the wheel just what I can feel with my foot. I am guessing it has somthing to do with the stearing colum as it's only when turning the wheel. And it is not noticeable when turning at speed just when parking etc. I haven't pulled the carpet back to see what is there yet but I thought I would give the forum a go first to see if anyone had any previous knowledge of this? Thanks in advance, Aaron.
G B L
We don't have Standard TCs here, but The motor assembly for the electric power steering rack is on the other side of the foot well where you are feeling the grinding. The Van needs to be lifted and the dust cover needs to be removed to look at the steering rack. The only fly in my theory could be how the lay out of the rack on a right hand drive TC could change how the rack looks. Still I would pull the dust cover and have some one look at the rack assembly while moving the steering wheel. Keep us posted .

Its going into the garage in a few weeks time to have the lowering springs and dampers removed (the ride is just to firm for UK roads) so I will ask them to have a look at it then. I will let you know what the outcome is, Chhers, Aaron.
