utah2
I have 2014 tc with 3 rows seating. I would like to put 2 3rd row seats where 2 and row split bench is,and leave split bench in my garage. I long ago removed the 2 3rd row for increased storage hgt. These 2 light bucket type would I think be a better 2nd row option for me. BTW this is a very helpful forum I'm opinion. I solved number of problems with info found here. My tc now has 40k I purchased as new left over in 2017 , so far no problems major . Thanks for any info seat on change over. PhotoAl
I have a 2016 six passenger. Many times I have the 3rd row seat out - I'm not sure I would describe them as light :-) My garage is full of junk scooters and a motorcycle and don't have a good storage spot so keep them in the van mostly. From what I've seen of the 2nd row bucketsI don't think the 3rd row seat would fit in their place. I do really enjoy to two seats with the passthru instead of the 3 seat bench. I think it would be an easy swap to replace the 3 seat split bench with two 2nd row buckets. Might find someone who wants to go from 2 middle to 3 middle seats. utah2
Photo Al Thanks for reply. I think I am trying to make more room and versatility for storage in van by eliminating bench seat. BTW these are terrific designed and very expensive seats if purchased new from Ford. The seats w/ approx 50 lbs each and fold very compact. I would not have much interest in full size buckets for TC as they would take up the same room as the bench albeit leaving a center aisle pass thru. The problem with my scheme is it looks like I would have to modify /cut remove permanent brackets and therefore could not return TC to original configuration when time comes for resale/trade in.
