pfaudette
I bought late last year a 2012 TC, 2.0, LWB. The previous owner hit a deer and did some damage. I don't know the extent of the repairs done to the van, but I had the windshield replaced before I made an offer on it, since it had a crack. When driving at highway speeds, I sometimes get steering wheel shimy, but not always. It doesn't seem to vary with speed, acceleration/decelaration or turning. I can't sense any bearing looseness when I grab the wheels by hand. Could it be tie rod ends or CV joints? Is this a common issue, or could it be related to the previous accident? mrtn
Could be anything in the front axle. Steering rack, tie rod ends and wheel bearings are known to be the weak parts.
