Delivery time

Recommended Posts

Hi All, I ordered my TC the 28th of december 11 and am just curious how long it has taken for the build data to be released. I realize the wait is long and I'm just wondering what your experience has been. I understand the vin is issued early in the process and I'm curious how long that usually takes. Thanks in advance for your feedback

I am awaiting mine still having ordered about 2 months before you. The current flow posted on this site seems to be about 5-6 months, so my guess is you'll get a 2013 model. I was told "as long as two months" when the reality posted here is much, much longer. I can wait, hope you can, too!

Thanks for the feed back Has anyone else followed the build process? I understand if one can obtain the vin the vehicle can be tracked is that true and if so how can it be tracked? I'm not worried about the wait I'm just curious to follow the process

We ordered our TC last July when we were not sure if we would end up with a 2011 or 2012. We got an alert from our dealer within a month that we were on the "Build List" but that no Vin number had been assigned as yet. About a month later we got a new alert that a Vin Number has been attached to our order. The next alert we got was about 3 months later when it was listed as leaving the factory and waiting for a ship. One month later had them saying it was on a dock in Maryland. It took more than a month to get from the dock, thru shipping and arrive at the dealer. All told, it was almost 7 months total. We are located up in the North East corner of the US and our dealer is the last one in NH before Canada. That would add to a delay under normal conditions. You might fare better.

Well it's in the USA finally and damaged. Am at the 6 month mark now and they say at least another month.

I'd guess you want to find the specifics of the damage, and what if would cost to repair the damage at the dealership. Then I'd talk about reducing the cost of the vehicle. It's supposed to be a new car.

Good luck!

This is so surprising to me. When I ordered my Trans Conn in 2010, it was on the dealer's lot the next week! No problem at all. What happened?

I'm guessing you ordered one that was available from another dealer. When you order a vehicle, the dealer network first looks at who might have a car already built and available that matches your order. Vehicles with full windows are notorious for not being widely available. How many have you seen just like the one you want? I have never seen one like the one I want but I have seen a photo here (red, all the windows, all the options except mudflaps.)

Hope you car is running fine!
