captkus
Just got my 2012 XLT, the latest radio with the MP3 player sounds a lot better than the Euro 6000? model, does anyone know if they've upgraded the speakers as well? Second question - what in the world is the function of that recessed cubby in the top of the dash? I can't imagine trying to fish something out from the back of that thing, looks like it's molded as one piece with the entire top - I'm ready to take my Fein multi tool and cut it right out! Thanks for any feedback.

azdamay
That's exactly what the cubby is for. I use it for paperwork every day. On the older, pre-facelift Transit Connects (not sold here) the cubby was more open:
Mikeeshaq
I use the cubby hole for Toll receipts that I need for my expense report
Covered Bridge Cyclery
I put one of those sticky pads in there and keep my cell phone in it. I use SYNC for the phone, so I don't need to see it or grab it anyway.
tombright
Clipboard with its To Do list fits perfectly. Since I'm in and out all day or need to scribble notes from a phone call, it's just right. That was the first feature one of my vendors noticed as he considered a Transit for his delivery driver.
