Charlie
Has anyone noticed the foam rubber in the plastic back being used to fill the space behind the front fenders and the hinges for the front doors. This is my first ford in 25 years and I have never seen this used for a finish trim panel. All of the other cars I have had used a metal or hard plastic panel. I wonder what will happen when the plastic gets a hole and the foam soaks up water like a big sponge. Has anyone removed these plastic/foam bags? mrtn
I'm not sure which foam you mean but some foams are blocked out. Work as insulators but don't absorb water.
Charlie
The foam rubber plugs the the fender openings of the front fenders. Open the driver or passenger door and look behind the hinges directly under the "A" pillar. The 1st time I washed the TC I pushed the passenger side foam rubber into the front fender.
