WhiteVanManUSA
hi, does anyone have any good suggestions on how to boost preformance from the engine? anything simple and easy that can be done? cheers Try installing a K& N Filter they come with a million mile Guarantee and need maintaining every 50K miles which is basically a soak in a cleaner rinse off with a hose and then allow to dry before re-oiling the filter before re installation . I recommend you keep your OE filter somewhere safe so when you are doing the clean and re-oil of the filter you can install the OE filter and still use your vehicle. See link below for all Filters . Make sure you order the Recharger kit to service the filter as you need to use the special cleaner and oil . Happy transitting

Happy transitting DO NOT install K&N filters in a TC, the oil gets on the sensors and then you will have to replace the sensors in the airbox. These only work on vehicles with the mass air flow sensor located elsewhere.

ncranchero
Guess there's a lot of fools out there. Oil contaminated MAF's are common topics on all Ford forums. How much neck snapping performance did you get out of that K&N anyway? K&N's, CAI's that hang in the open in HOT engine compartments .......... :finger: IMO. ncranchero
I'm certainly not opposed to saving landfills/earth but K&N's aren't going to do it. Recommended air filter change interval is 30K miles and even with the mileage I drive that won't be twice a year! If you're doing it for performance .................... you have the wrong vehicle! IMO.
