ncranchero
Okay, one thing that is annoying me a lot is the fact that I can't leave the TC running, exit the vehicle and lock it with my extra fob. I'm in and out a lot on some routes, never out of sight of the van though, and I can't leave it running and lock it when I get out. I haven't exhausted all references for programming yet, I don't think. I took it to the dealership for it's 7K mile oil change and inquired about the programming possibility. You'd have thought I'd asked a tech question about the space shuttle.......uh  ........you can't do that  ......uh........ on any Ford  .........uh ...........no. I explained I had been able to do that :yup: on my E250's, my F150's ............ uh .........no you couldn't. I could see there was no point in furthering this conversation. So, have I overlooked a programming option? Someone have a Ford service tech friend with SOME knowledge of programming/options? Can anyone lock their doors with their TC running? Winter is coming and I'd like to be able to warm up my van without worrying about it being made off with. I don't want a remote start, just to lock the freakin' doors with it idling!

It works on my TC. Edited September 16, 2010 by kmoilan1

It works on my TC. I'll check that out but my second key stays at home and I'm hoping for the same convenience of the fob button I had on the E model. I'll probably contact Fords Customer Relations and see if they'll have a clue as to what I'm asking.

It works on my TC. This does work. Still a pain in the a$$ but at least you can start it and lock it. To unlock you can use the FOB though, but you have to hit the unlock button for the cargo doors twice, dont ask me why but it works.
RichC
good luck .everytime I call ford customer service with a question they tell me to call a dealer . The dealers do not have any idea how to do anything with this vehicle . I cant wait to hit the 100.000 mile mark so it can be replaced with something other than a transit
