humitex
Hello everyone, Only 5200 miles on my lovely new Ford and noises that are common in cars or trucks over 100k miles are present....what the hell? Annoying noise #1 Drivers arm rest...squeeks whenever I move my arm or when I hit a bump #2 The passenger door lock motor is starting to make a high ptich whine when unlocking (sure tell tale of a failing motor) WTH? #3 When I turn the engine off I can hear the A/C vents under the dash make a clunking sound...like a door closing...that sound was not there before! #4 Why are my brakes starting to squeel already? I mostly drive highway miles and keep my truck extremely clean #5 When closing the rear doors..the rubber grommet is always getting pinched....this is a wonderful example of design issues. #6 The biggest pet peev....the interior is WAY TOO easy to scratch...the material used to contruct the plastic components is terrible! The inside of my truck look likes I turned a wild cat loose! come on people..you can't explain your way out of that! Okay...I love my truck, don't get me wrong...but dammit I owned a Scion TC since 2005 and the only issue I ever had was I had to change the brakes...at 50K miles! Sorry Ford fans...as much as I agree with you about keeping Ford strong, there has got to be a time when you just throw your arms up with frustration and just say...this is BS. Not sure about you, but owning a vehicle (even a 22k vehicle) and having to worry about the quality and durability..just bothers me. I took a chance buying a Ford again..even though I experienced similar issues in the past....maybe it's just me, but I have a problem with little flaws like this..not saying other manufacturers don't have issues...but little issues turn into big issues and cost the owner more than it should. Come on Ford Sorry, but I needed to get that off my chest!
obxrmc
My van has a terrible noise when I go to unlock my doors. Just on the drivers side. Sometimes my drivers side sliding door wont open. Any ideas what may be going on?
Willie
I get a terrible whining sound from the passenger seat at times. No wait, that was my wife!

Come on Ford Sorry, but I needed to get that off my chest! Hey sorry to hear your issues is this a new version of the tc 2014 or 2013? When I went to the car show in NY and I set in the 2014 tc I was checking it out I was like let me try to scratch the dashboard I know I should not have do that but I did with my nail and to my surprise it left a little mark I was not expecting that . compare to my Honda oddesey I can't do that they use a different material. I also have a 2005 scion tc with 53000 miles and so far so good have not changed the brake pad yet but its due , only thing it broke is the driver sunvisor which is a known issue. Oh I changed the battery mine is like brand new really nice car its a toyota. I prefer Japanese cars but they don't make van like the ford TC only that ridiculous Nissan NV its so small I don't like it , I will hope I won't regret to by the a ford I'm also picky about little things but I will do my best to keep it nice and new even it is gonna be used for work. The older version turn out to be really durable I have a friend who has one with crazy mileage on it and he says its really reliable. 2013TransitConnect
When I was test driving a 2013 TC I reached up to turn the interior lights off and the switch broke off in my hand. So far nothing has gone wrong with mine but it doesn't even have 3,000 miles on it. I'm very easy on vehicles and expect it to stand up to my tender use.
