I have a few crazy ideas i'm looking into to make mine stand out involving white wall tyres and lowering! Started small though and just ordered an all in one key, cant stand having a seperate fob! About me: I'm 25 live in lowestoft on the east coast ( near norwich ) with my girlfriend, step daughter and a baby on the way! With my partner i run a aerial business which has been running for 2 years now, i also work for a local car audio company, it was a job that i just couldn't give up! I get to work on some interesting vehicles from modern sports cars to expensive classics! I specialise jn car electronics and will be loitering around that section to offer advice where i can! Well enough babbling, thats me!

isellford
Ditto. Welcome. I spent a little over a week in the U.K. last summer on vacation. Loved it over there.

Well enough babbling, thats me! I am new here. Am I responding to you in the right format? Here goes. Luke, my name is James. I am 74 (is that possible?). I live in OKC, That's Oklahoma City, OK, to the rest of the world. I am located in the middle of the state of Oklahoma, USA. I just bought a 2010 Transit and I am shocked by the absolute lack of amenities, like electric door locks and windows. The dealer said they were luxury items. They have been standard equipment on automobiles for fifty years. I'll get used to it. I hope. It is very commodious inside. I plan to use is as a mini RV for road trips. If you do car electronics, you may be able to tell me how to lock myself in the van for overnight rest stops. But then again, nothing on the van is electronic. so maybe not. I am thinking about trading up. Would you advise it? I was in the UK several years ago. Delightful place compared to the rest of my European tour. The French just don't like Americans, but the English seemed to enjoy us. I remember standing on a London street corner comparing accents with a Londoner. Delightful. We tried mimicking each other and had a very good time doing it. I'll always remember it with pleasure.

The XLT transit has power door locks/windows/mirrors etc. Yes the transit is pretty spartan, but the power options you listed are still available. If you are planning on outfitting it for RV it would be nice to have these features, but you'll probably lose a bunch of $$ trading up, especially if you bought a new one. Sorry man!
