RPotter
I was looking at a 2013 XLT at a car dealership and thinking about purchasing it. When I looked at the odometer the reading started with a zero. It was 03885. I have never seen an odometer reading that began with a zero. Should I be concerned that the odometer has been tampered with or is it common to begin with a zero on the TC's?
windguy
I would recommend getting a CARFAX type report for the van so you can learn about the history, service records, etc. Since the van is at dealership, they probably already have that report and should be willing to share it with you if they are reputable. You can also ask the dealer if the van was serviced with them and provide service records. Good luck!
RPotter
Thank you both for your informative replies. No doubt the vehicle has over 100K or 200K miles on it. I ordered a Carfax report and it has had four owners, no indication it was ever serviced at a dealership and no record of mileage or service after 37,000 miles. It is apparent it is one TC to avoid.
