Hey hi, 2nd owner from a fleet with some quirks to figure out. 1) they had a security system installed and all it took to unhook it was a yank of one wire under the dash - sounds fishy, and the security lights still come on. ... it's killed the start once. Dealership said, it's "fine". 'should' work ... ? second situation, no one can figure out where the trickle drain on the battery is coming from after pulling individual fuses, checking all points, but when it rains, The TC won't start the next day. Anyone else had that? We haul, all livestock and animals in our van.

hey folks! my interior dash lights and rear, exterior lights suddenly stopped working at the same time the other day on our 2010 Connect. after reading a few posts i tried replacing the Headlight/Headlamp Switch and it unfortunately didn't do the trick. the brake lights still work in the back, just not the regular lights, so not ideal for driving at night! any other ideas before i give up and take it in to the shop? thanks so much i appreciate your help! nick

Here is what I am facing. 2010 Transit Connect engine was turning over but not starting, after some checking of the fuses under the hood it would no longer crank over. So had it sent to the dealership and they reported that the Main junction box under the hood had corrosion/rust from water getting into the junction box. The dealer stated that the junction box/wire harness had to be replaced, part and labor over $3500.00 (no way I can pay that much) They did get it running so I could drive it home. I have went through the junction box and cleaned all the fuses and contacts, I do not notice any apparent shorts in the wires. When I mounted everything back I am back to square one, no cranking over. Any suggestions would be great. I would like to keep from replacing the wire harness if at all possible.
