  1. Does anyone know what the part # for the glove box hinge pins are for a 2014? Had a remote start installed months back, seems like they placed it behind the glove box, and in the process screwed up putting the pins back in. I found one in the passenger footwell, didn't know what it was from and put it aside. The other day someone went to open the glove box, and it practically fell out. I only have 1 pin, can't find the other. I can find the part in lots of online part diagrams as #4, but having trouble finding a usable part number. The closest I've found is <06050 from fordparts.com, and they want $15 for 1. I'm trying to find a place that has it cheaper.
  2. Thanks for the review. I'm *really* tempted to get one, I like the look, but I still don't think it will hold much weight at all. I currently have some rubbermaid coated wire shelving, and while it works ok, it's very bouncy. I don't put much weight up there, but more than a plastic shelve can probably handle if a wire shelf flexes. The lower portion holds my dog crates, so I really need the upper section for general purpose stuff. I'll probably look into making up a hinged shelf out of wood covered with carpet.
  3. I've got a 2014 TC SWB wagon that I made up a rear shelf using rubbermade shelving. Works ok, but I'd like something a bit nicer. I was thinking of getting the official cargo cover, http://amzn.com/B00IUYHAGA I can't find any info on it. I'm curious as to how well it folds up, and how much weight it would carry. I don't put anything heavy up top, but since I do like to put smaller lighter stuff up top. If anyone has one, or has seen one in person, what's your opinion on it?
  4. Does anyone know if there's a switched 12v source of power up near the eyeglass holder/map shelf in a '14 wagon? I'd like to mount a dash cam up there. Before I go pulling things apart, I thought maybe someone already knows and can save me some time.
  5. Got this mood done the other day, works well. All done under the hood, completely reversible, not cutting required. Get a micro sized tap a fuse, a 12v relay, some male/female spade connectors and a bit of wire. In mine, there were 2 unused fuse sockets that were keyed with the ignition. I installed the tap a fuse and weird it to the relay to drive the relay. I pulled the fuse for the front accessory port, and wired it online with the switch side of the relay. The spade connectors fit the fuse terminals perfectly. It's not perfect, the circuit I used is only powered in the "run" position, not accessory. But it was better than always on.
  6. Got the Panavise mount in. Easy install, solid, and good placement. There's 2 mounting options, low and high. I went with low. High would put the phone around the middle of the vent. Bolted on a cheap QI one touch charger/mount. Holds my Note 4 solidly and in easy reach.
  7. It sounds like jallenz had the same idea as me. 2014 TC wagon. Under the hood, fuse 17 drives the front power port. My plan was to pull the fuse and put a relay feeding into the supply side of the fuse socket with a spade connector. I was going to drive the relay from the accessory delay circuit so it would behave like the radio, on till the doors open. I don't have any accessory delay relay though. My manual says it's R8, but the socket is empty. I'm looking for another method now. I figure doing it this way requires no wire cutting, and can be easily restored back to factory. I just need a good easily tapped keyed circuit in the under hood fuse box.
  8. Not all of us were fortunate enough to have BT equipped in our vehicle, and while I can appreciate your choice, my choice of safe driving includes not having to try to retrieve my phone from my pocket when the technology fails and things didn't connect/answer/dial as intended. Looking at a map/song/clock or any other informative display on my phone is no different than looking at the various other information systems the auto manufacturers include. For others who don't pocket their phones, Panavise does have a mount bracket for the 2014/2015 model year. http://www.panavise.com/pdf_indash/751072614.pdf ProFit does as well, but I don't like their locations on the dash, and they note that larger devices may obscure controls/displays. I'm not a fan of suction cup mounts, they always fall off, and as such I think they're unsafe.
  9. Love the TC, but there seems to be no good place to mount a phone/GPS in the thing. Every inch of dash has a control/vent/curve/something. Curious where people are mounting them. I've considered the little overhang over the radio display, but I prefer to avoid them up so high. Reach is an issue, as is sun causing mounts to fail and phones to overheat. I'm just not finding anything lower down, especially something that won't block a needed control with a large'ish phone. Cup holders are out, need a spot for my coffee.
  10. I just picked up a 2014 Transit Connect Wagon, SWB/XLT. While going through the owners manual and trying to figure out the more subtle features the salesmen never know about, I discovered I have "global open/close" for the windows, where you hold the unlock on the keyfob for 3 seconds, and all windows open. Likewise, holding close for 2 seconds is supposed to close them. I can't get them to close, only open. I've been through every menu tree (not many) in the in-dash system, and I see no setting for this feature. Seems rather stupid that I can open them, and not close them. The dealer I bought it from is pretty decent, but not that close, so I thought I'd ask here if anyone knows what's up. I've read in some Focus forums that you may have to enable up/down on each window. I need to find that post again, and give it a try as well.
