Happy New year! I'm wondering if anyone has had any issues with bolts coming loose under their hood? Yesterday I was cleaning my engine bay and found many bolts that were about to fall off (see picture). Most bolts with Torx head were very very loose. My Transit Connect doesn't have that many miles so I was very surprised. Not it's making me wonder "what else is about to fall apart" Anyone else here who has found loose or missing fasteners on their Transit?

nice to see 18" wheels will fit the 2015 Connect. I might upgrade my wheels down the road.

My Transit could totally use a stereo upgrade...

Windguy - behind the door there was some dense foam. I tried a few things but when I ended up doing is getting some self-stik rubber foam weather stripping and used a super thin layer of it all around the backside of the panel. no more noise now

follow up: So my sliding door panels used to be quiet but ever since I removed them, painted them (I only painted the front, not the back) and re-installed them they've been creaking as mad while driving. The noise is almost like when you rub hard pieces of foam together - pretty annoying. Now I'm thinking I might have to put something behind to dampen the noise.

I painted my sliding door panels yesterday and just re-installed them. Looks MUCH better now that it matches the interior (eg. Black)

I'm in no rush so I'll wait and see. These are the ones I was going to order for my Transit (minus the TRD logo on the back)

Dude you are the man...I tried ordering some neoprene seat cover from Wet Okole but they called me the next day to inform me that they didn't have the pattern for my Transit, so they canceled my order and reimbursed me :( I've had their seat covers in 3 other cars and love them - so I was bummed. Then I tried contacting Coverking but they also don't have the dimensions for the 2015 Transit Connect...grr... I will try getting in touch with Seat Covers Unlimited on Monday. Maybe I'll get the cow-fur pattern

I also have the 1.6L Ecoboost engine. I'm still in the break in period, but so far I really like it. This is my first automatic car, so I was a bit worried about the torque/power but it moves pretty well. Oh and yes, I still occaisionally try to push down on that immaginary clutch

OEM Trailer Hitch - Gen 2 TC

Shucks - I should have gotten the factory hitch then. I couldn't find any info about that option so I had no idea it had a 2" receiver. Boo.. Just need to find an aftermarket one that fits. Thanks gentle men! -

Speaking of trailer hitch - I was originally going to get the factory trailer hitch when I ordered my 2015 XLT Van but wanted a 2" receiver (I'm pretty sure the factory one is 1.25"). Not that I plan on pulling heavy trailers, but I'm a mountain biker and all my bike racks are for 2" receivers. Anyone know exactly what Class III or IV hitch will fit the 2015 Connect? -

Hi, I just recently got a 2015 Transit Connect Van (custom order) and picked the "Quickclear electric windshield defroster" option thinking it would be nice to have on those frosty mornings up in the mountains. In my head, I thought it would be a fine filament around the window parameter that would help melt the ice on the windshield but to my surprise, the whole windshield has those. At first I it didn't bother me, but now I noticed them - especially when the sun is hitting my windshield at an angle. Also, at night they somewhat distort my field of vision. Almost like looking through a dirty window (or screen door - although not as bad as an actual screen door) Anyone else notice this or is it just me? - Luc
