Hey, thanks both of you for the information, the Proclips system seems like the way to go. 103west, about those "retaining clips along the edges of the upper storage compartment" are they such that the edges are pulled up until they release one by one. Is a tool used? I am asking because I would really like to install a 12 volt outlet in the upper storage compartment to service the GPS, I so dislike power cords dangling down, mickey mouse like.

Hello, I am trying to come up with ways to mount my gps in a good location. In my state, you cannot legally stick it to the windshield (as far as I know). So, I was looking at the center AC vent, perhaps sacrificing it for the mounting position but I would like to remove the vent part that rotates without damaging it. I have looked it over but can't figure it out. Help would be appreciated or ideas for mounting that someone else has worked out. Thanks, Keith

Hello everyone, I think I am going to be entering into the world of Transit Connect's. I am the newly old (60) and for the last 20 years, I have ridden my HD all over the country (about 125 k miles altogether) without mishap. I think I am ready for a change and the Transit seems to be a good compromise at this time of my life. A vehicle that gets pretty good mileage and gets me out of the weather. I have to sell my bike first then the hunt begins. I think I would like to get a Transit with 30K or so miles on it so it should be fun to look for one at a fair price. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Keith
