41 on LF, 40 on RF. And it will pull in either direction depending on the crown of the road. That's why I suspect there isn't enough camber. So, do others experience the same lack of stability?
-
It does, but we hardly ever use it. Both of us have been driving over 50 years each and prefer to be in control.

When I drive our 2022 TC I notice that a slight curve of the road surface causes it to pull to the low side, but I can keep it straight. When my wife drives she goes one way then overcorrects and it goes the other. I have owned dozens and dozens of RWD cars and pickups and know if there isn't enough caster it will act the same. Only having 7,000 miles I was waiting to see if it got better, but it isn't. Has anyone experienced this, and if so, did you get it realigned, or changed more than original specs?

We've had our '22 Titanium a few months and don't yet know what the ECO (With small leaf overhead) is for. I have tried it on trips going one way with it off and the other way on...mpg average about the same. Nowhere in owners manual can I find what it's for? Maybe it turns the air conditioning off and on? Does anyone have a clue?

On my 2022 TC, Titanium I removed my rear seats to fasten a 3/4" thick plywood floor to anchor dual dog crates and a plywood box around it all. I also had issues with the frame holes. I used SS bolts because our dogs spill water from their crates and didn't want them to rust in. The factory bolts seem to be a self threading, triangle shaped bolt and when I screwed a couple of my softer SS bolts, they got damaged. So I ran a tap into all of them and they worked fine then and tightened firmly after that.

Thanks Dave. As I posted earlier I did find a new one online. Sure feels good to have one....just in case.

Here is a photo from the front that shows the bumps from the holes in the rack track. There are others that have reported leakage from them. Wish there was a better width.
-
The groove for the rails is approximately 1-3/4" wide, but it also has a raised body panel that welds the roof and sides. Further complicating it are the rubber plugs that cover the holes to secure the roof rails. I have read about other owners experiencing leakage as age, car washes and time causes them to leak. I tried several industrial supply house's and some eBay sellers, but it's difficult to just buy about 20ft. I finally found individual 10' rolls, 1-9/16" wide which I plan to try installing next week.
-
My 2022 came without rails, which was fine with me. However I would like to find a long piece of the rubber material used in the groove so I could fill both sides in. Does anyone have any leads? Somewhere I saw a Ford parts page with a number for it in bulk, but I lost the copy. Help?

Update: went on Amazon last evening about 8pm. Found a new one for $44, genuine Ford. Ordered it and it was here by 1:30pm. Thanks for clarification that Ford stopped shipping them, too bad they didn't Update the owners manual and educate their dealers on the subject....oh yea too interested in scheming to move to EV's.

With the Ford shutdown of the Transit Connect, and wanting a Titanium, in July I found a new '22, 850 miles away. It had been ordered, but that customer backed out, so I did the deal. It hadn't been built until September and it was finally early November before it arrived at the dealer. I flew down and drove it home, nicer ride than I expected! We will be using this to take our dogs to Agility events in the SE. The ones we attend are indoors, but sometimes we have to park in grassy fields. On these 3 day events it can rain and depending on where you park, people get stuck in the mud. Fortunately, the other customer ordered a trailer hitch, so I can be towed from the rear. However, sometimes by the time you're stuck, you may need to be towed from the front. Looking under the front I found no tow eyes rings. In the owners manual and on the Ford parts lists it shows a tow eye (stored by the jack), but ours had NONE and the dealer hasn't a clue about whether one was supposed to be there or not and isn't doing much to help. So my question is: I have the hole in the front bumper for an eye, I can see the LH threaded insert in the frame, but our nearby Ford dealer says "not listed". I have looked on eBay and found used ones in Europe, but listed for up to 2014. Does anyone know if one of those will fit a '22? By chance does one they would sell that fits a '22? Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks for your feedback.

On the lists I saw, there was no Titanium model listed. XLT yes. -
2022 Transit Connect Hood Protector
RussBarnes replied to RussBarnes's topic in Accessories and Modifications
I have considered adding a set of front parking sensors. I have rears and tried to find out if I can tie into those. Still working on that option. Thanks for the link to an aftermarket set. I still want a hood protector (deflector) to lower road trash damage and with the right shape, to reduce the bug bodies on my windshield. -
The nose on my '22 is long and low. I have been trying to find a hood protector (deflector) that I could see to judge distance for parking and protect the hood. I thought I found one in Bolivia, but they sent one for Transit Courier, too narrow. So far the ones I found on the Internet are shallow. Has anyone found one that would work? Photos would help. Picture of the nose of mine is attached.

Anybody install OEM mud flaps themselves ?
RussBarnes replied to herb's topic in Exterior Parts & Panels
Put mine on yesterday. Fronts were a piece of cake. Rears were hard to lock the top retainer to the body. I hope these rears hold, time will tell.
