  1. well apparently the magical gnomes showed up overnight, because this morning it was working smooth as butter. I went out to put some silicon spray on the weather stripping to minimize door freezing and cautiously opened that door to the halfway point and was like "this feels good" so I fully opened and closed it a few times and it is better than new. I hit the rail with silicon spray too for good measure. Maybe it took some time for the weight to settle on the bolt and that increased friction to avoid the binding.
  2. So I noticed the rear passenger sliding door "felt" off when closing and different things I read mentioned making an adjustment on the rear hinge to raise or lower the door. So I go to the rear adjustment on the door (there is a 16mm locknut on the top and some star bit on the bolt) and I loosen the lock nut and adjust the bolt. After some trial and error I got it to close smoother and feel better, BUT when it is open the whole way, it can't "unlatch" from the open position as the roller hinge binds. If I hold the hinge and door to stop the binding, it will close. I tried tightening the lock nut and that helps but not nearly enough. Looking for some help.
  3. thanks for adding those pics. If I can figure out a cheap way to handle the odometer swap I might have to get silly and do this.
  4. what additional information does the color screen have? Looks like it may have light and door open status on the right side car avatar. Is there anything else?
  5. I could be wrong, but I'd imagine whatever factory harness the fog lights run off of is not present in your transit. With that said an after market fog light kit will likely have the lights powered off the battery switched via a relay where the "trigger" for the relay is a paddle switch. Basically setting the fog lights up the way off road LED bars are set up. The attached picture from a $15 "light bar harness" should help explain.
  6. the metra xsvi-5524-nav is what I am going to use on my '14 https://www.crutchfield.com/p_120XS5524N/Axxess-XSVI-5524-NAV-Wiring-Interface.html?awcp=&awcr=309939457353&awdv=c&awkw=xsvi5524nav&awmt=p&awnw=g&awug=9015260&gclid=Cj0KCQjwpreJBhDvARIsAF1_BU2aEgle0Dz8AohWGuJJ03sNlOiD78rtQCf8gL_JY6VzGq9qwNv-UQAaAltFEALw_wcB Id doesn't keep aux and doesn't interface with the 4 inch screen in any way. Can be had for 50 or less on amazon. (requires buying an AWSC for about $50 if keeping sterring controls) metra also makes a harness that loops between the 4inch screen to allow backup camera to go into an aftermarket head unit (which didn't work on my '14, the video signal was scrambled and metra says it SHOULD work but it officially only works with '15 and up due to testing) NOTE: if you do use this screen adapter and want Steering wheel controls, then the awsc (sold separatly) interfaces to this harness, not the 5524 per metra. - https://www.crutchfield.com/S-BG1pEk6Y3BS/p_120FDSYNC/Axxess-AX-FDSYNC-SWC-Steering-Wheel-Control-Harness.html?XVINQ=GLX&awkw=305755862776&awat=pla&awnw=g&awcr=193549614845&awdv=c&awug=9015260&gclid=Cj0KCQjwpreJBhDvARIsAF1_BU2yDBCVi3kZZRvmEkJgMqmjI5UufLsbczv16T5GHRQyIj2Npqc4HCcaAt-dEALw_wcB These are $10 at best buy.
