I have successfully converted my 2015 to a manual. I've been using it for work the past month and have put around 2k miles on it with no issues.

Thanks for the reply Fifty150. I took all of the side panels off in front of the belt and found this ratchet socket jammed between the frame and belt roll. I looked it up, and it is the same brand they use at the Ford factory. I removed it and belt is like new. Pretty good outcome:)
