Keep in mind, the octane posted on U.S. pumps is the average of the MON method plus how it is meassured in Europe (RON method) divided by two. Look at the yellow sticker on the pump that displays the octane number. In little print under the octane number it shows R+M/2 as how the octane rating is calculated so 87 in the U.S. is not the same as 87 in Europe. RON method is used in Europe and is always higher than MON and the rating in the U.S.1 point
