jcd
Welcome. Wish you a lot of luck with your TC. There are a lot fo Catering racks and bin packages available as wellas a rear cold unit if you are interested. I have seen the slide out shelving where you can purchase 1, 2 or 3. I like those although i would like to see what other specific catering options there are. I did see alot on the ford website but not for what i need. 2nd, if i find something i like do they ship it to me and i bulid it and install it or does my local ford dealer do it or do they come and do it? I don't want to completley fill the cargo area with racks and shelfs etc. I need to talk with someone who can understand my exact needs so as to figure out the best configuration for me! Thanks for your input and keep it coming if possible jcd

If not, go to the Adrian , MasterRack, or Leggett and Platt websites and search for a local distributor. There should be one you can talk to. We have many in the Houston area. We have many in the Houston area. i spoke to inlay in maryland yesturday. they are the closest unfortunatley to me in pa. they can shipp to me of course but i am not convinced the slide out shelfs are the best way to go. i may try to bulid something homemade since there are so many place to screw to. a friend of mine is a welder. i was going to ask him what we may be able to bulid that is removable and adjustable that would be less hassle and hopefully less cost. thanks P.S... WHAT IS YOUR WEBSITE TO YOUR DEALERSHIP? jcd Edited November 7, 2009 by jcd
PetrosA
I am from northeast pa. and just purchased a new xlt for my catering business. Anyone have input or feedback for me? I would also recommend you check out this catalog from Ranger. I ordered my shelving from them which should be in soon. They have a rep outside Philly, Intercon Trucks who placed the order for drop shipping. You could also contact them through their website and see if there's a distributor closer by. I've seen some of the available shelving and bins from the Ford offer and can't say they impressed my with functionality or price.

The reason i didn't want to go with them is the apparant fact that the shelving has to be un-bolted to remove the shelf if needed as opposed to the other system can be just slide out and re-adjusted to any height. Atleast this is what i have been told so far.

Atleast this is what i have been told so far. That could be. I hadn't really looked at the catering setups they have. One thing I found out today about drop-shipping from Ranger - they charge a 20% surcharge to drop-ship to the final customer. Luckily the guy from Intercon called me to let me know that and I'll be picking them up myself from Intercon. I may have some contacts that could recommend catering specific shelving, I'll look into it and get back you if I find anything out. What kind of catering do you specialize in? We do off and on premise catering. Mostly buffet style but we also do dinners on premise but no restaurant. we are small but average 400 events per year combined. we are now in business 15 years. I heard if you have a business to drop ship to then there isn't a surcharge? Not sure though. Thank for your help! jcd
isellford
We are setting up a refrigerated TC that we will be displaying in the Ford booth at the Catersource convention in Vegas in March. Stop by and say hi if you are attending.
