HenryG
Does the Ford Transit Connect have an interior light turn off? I have found this feature helpful in saving the battery while loading and unloading my Chevy Astro which sometimes can take me two or three hours. If not available what would be the best way to disable the interior lights? I know disconnecting the battery is not a good idea as all radio setting are lost and a security code is needed to reset. Is there an Owners Manual available on the internet to help with questions like this? I went to my dealer but their one Transit Connect was out for a test drive (I waited an hour), salesman was to call but has not yet. Thank you again for your help
daytonagrayghost
Yes it does... The dome light just above the rear view mirror has a switch on it. The left position will keep all interior lights off. The middle position will make the lights work with the doors and the right position will turn the lights on with the doors closed. fordbuff
The int/ lighs will shut off automaticly after a short while. I always leave the side door open when leaving the van parked in my warehouse. When I return later they are always off. You can also play the radio for one hour at a time with the key off and removed. A nice feature when cleaning the int. Not having to listen to the door open chime. InTransit
I like the middle setting. When you turn the car off the lights come on before you open the door. You can see anything you need to bring with you on those dark rainy nights without getting soaked while the door is open. I live in Vancouver where rain is normal, sun is not. When you close the doors the light stays on for a bit if you don't hit the lock on the remote. If you do hit the lock, the lights turn off immediately. Well thought out.
