Hello:

My name is Willie, and I am from Pennsylvania USA. I am currently looking for a T.C. passenger version (They seem to be termed "wagons"). They are scarce around here but there may be a few.

A few questions for you current owners:

Do the backseat windows open?

Is the backseat easily removed?

Is the MP3 player hook-up standard equipment?

Any other advice?

Thanks in advance for all input.

Willie

Thanks

Welcome Willie!

Answers:

1) Windows are not the opening type other than the two front doors.

2) Finally saw one with seats in the back yesterday. They are unboltable - not the quick release type.

3) I have not found any auxilliary plug(s) as of yet, though mine supposedly has the same thing (XLT Van). I want to get the radio out and see about getting my XM reconnected into this unit. Ground-bound radio just ain't the same! :banghead:

Advice: Buy one.. Drive it.... Wave at the gas station guy when you pass without stopping more frequently than with the old guzzle-mobile. (Kidding, the Crown Vic was not terrible, but this gets much better mileage around town.)

I like the one I bought, and would not hesitate to recommend one to anyone. Seems to be an all-right vehicle overall.

The only downside is that it is new to the US market, and slightly different in some ways than US built Fords... Bolt circle for the wheels rules out a lot of "Ford" options (First thing I changed, boy are those hubcaps ugly!) and the radio removal tool(s) are different than the Fords I've had in the recent past. Other than that, no issues/complaints. The A/C works GREAT!

Oh yeah, and be prepared for the questions.... They attract a lot of curiousity due to not being very familiar in the US. I have to clean the handprnts off the windows daily - everybody wants to look inside it seems... :headscratch:

I have an XLT with just cab windows so I can't help you on the window questions.

There is a jack for MP3s in the lower console in front of the gear selector (I want to say stick , but we all know it's automatic.)

I factory ordered mine with backup sensors (no back windows) and RSC (stability package). I have driven some pretty curvy roads and highways and this handles more like a car than a truck, even with a load.

Like REC said get used to playing car salesman, I even carry my salesman's business cards with my info on back. If he sells one based on my recommend he reward$ me.

I now find excuses to drive this truck instead of my cube van and have used the 1600 lb payload a few times. 10' materials (strips, narrower boards) will fit from windsheild to back doors, that one surprised me. I have also carried 4' x 8' plywood standing up on a diagonal with the passenger seat pushed forward.
