dv.tough
Just took delivery a few days ago of my 2011 XLT Cargo Van. Mostly favorable first impressions except for the heater. When you live up here in the frozen tundra, Wisconsin (Go Packers!), warming up your tootsies is really important, especially after trudging through snow, ice and fallen Chicago Bears. I think the heater would be fine except that when you go to the 3rd and 4th fan speed it automatically diverts most of the warm air to the defrosters. What's with that? I can't ever remember a car doing that before. Does anyone know if there is a way to defeat the defroster diversion thing? Thanks. p.s. Favre sucks! I hadn't noticed the diversion thing but I don't generally use the highest speeds due to the noise. I find the heat to be okay for such a large space, but my heater fan gets pretty loud on anything beyond the lowest setting.
nbtrooper
Red/Green ---hang a sheet between the front seats and the back bay ---keep the heat and also AC (in the summer) where you want it

JJ Cobra
"Need To keep heater in re-circulate mode /and put in auto start" Would you like to tell us how you do that?
Stan MI
Not sure what the "auto start" thing is but the recirclation is the same as what you would use for the AC. It just keeps recirculating the inside air so no make up air is brought in from the outside. It's the button right next to the AC button with something like a sideways U on it. FWIW, I think the heater is really good. When I headed out this morning it was -4 (got to love Michigan). Heats up fast and does a great job of keeping me warm and I like it hot.
