stephenramsden
So I put some aftermarket rims on the Solar Astronomy Outreach mobile (2010 Transit Connect) and wondered if anyone knows a way to disable the TPMS dash indicator? www.solarastronomy.org look for Solar Astronomy NerdMobile... MattCook
In the U.S. it is illegal to disable TPMS, all vehicles made after a certain date, I don't know a specific date, must have it. You can figure out a wow to disable it, but the dash light will remain on. I want it removed from the car, it's always on since it's always wicked cold in AK, but I don't want to remove it for legal issues. If your car is in a wreck removing TPMS wouldn't help you out in court...
sunnysmith
Here is what I did: PVC TPMS Containers You can't pull the fuse because there are so many other important things on the circuit. I built two containers. One for the front sensors and one for the rear (different pressures).
MattCook
My fix is cheaper and more simple. I had a roll of electrical tape laying around, so I snipped a piece off and covered up the light. Fixed!
