roberts
I'm thinking of replacing my 1995 Toyota Previa AWD/SC/LE van that I bought new and is now rusting badly with a TC Wagon Long Wheel Base. My dealer doesn't have one in stock and is unsure of several things. I need to haul mountain bikes, at least 2, sometimes 3, and don't want to remove the front wheels. My Previa fits 2 bikes this way, even with middle row seats in place. I will likely get a Titanium version if I choose a Connect (also considering: AWD Sienna & smallest MB Sprinter). Quests: 1. Do both the bench seat and bucket seat versions for both 3rd and middle row seats fold completely flat? Dealer seems to think there's a cover for the bucket seats version - does this cover lay over the entire folded down 3rd and middle row seats to make a flat surface? 2. What will be the maximum height with 3rd & middle row seats folded down (my bikes need around 42" to stand upright). 3. Is it possible to remove the 3rd seat, both bucket and/or bench? He seems to think not. thanks in advance for your answers!

I have a 2016 TC LWB XLT and both the 2nd row and 3rd row seats do fold flat. The 3rd row has a magnetic cover on it and you can unfold it over the second row if you want... I keep my 3rd row flat as the trunk space very small with it up... The cool thing is the 3rd is adjustable meaning the base of the seat slides and is reclinable... The 2nd row isn't reclinable and honestly sucks for my kids to fall asleep in the upright position or lay down on the seat... This is were IMHO the Honda Oddysey and Toyota Sienna are more comfortable for the passengers and is more feature rich... The TC is IMHO the nicest out of the small van market Dodge Promaster City and Nissan NV200... The TC is more narrow but taller in height as you sit lower to the floor/road... The odyssey and sienna you sit higher with less overhead space... I love the body style of the Ford TC and is basically the only reason I bought one... And the fact that it's not played out here... No one moded a TC here... I'm looking to airbag mine... I got a set of rims for it and just waiting to get all the parts... 2. What will be the maximum height with 3rd & middle row seats folded down (my bikes need around 42" to stand upright). I'll get some measurements if someone doesn't beat me to it... 3. Is it possible to remove the 3rd seat, both bucket and/or bench? He seems to think not. It is removable with tools... You can't just unlatch it like the older Dodge Caravans or Ford Aerostars... This is where the seats folding flat to the floor shines over the Sienna... Other than that it's nothing really special... The good thing is it's a 4 cylinder and the spark plugs are right on the top making servicing easier... I've been reading to change the Trans fluid at 25,xxx miles as there is no dipstick? thanks in advance for your answers!
