Hello from south Florida

We, my wife and I, have owned at least one Ford for the past fifteen years or so. Our Focus wagon was eight years old when we traded it for the Transit Connect, which I was told is based on the Focus platform. We were so pleased with the Focus we are hoping the Transit will be as good. The Transit is my wife's daily driver. I drive a Freightliner badged Sprinter van and we nicknamed the Transit the Mini Me. So far (8 months) it has been a great vehicle.

The only ongoing issue we are having is a tight fitting gas cap. I'll search the forums and see if there has been anything posted on that subject.

I have had issues with my gas cap as well. I can unscrew it, but pulling it off is another matter. Once, I wasn't sure that I was going to be able to fill my tank because of it. It has loosened up a little over time.

I too have problem with tight cap, maybe it is good to have good seal.

the FVC has van-in at DOE LAKE near Ocala this week end , this location has no power, camp fire is approved. There is a dirt road with pot holes my connect will bottom out, take sprinter. Look at events tab.

to go truck-in or van-in all need is van, stock-mild-show-radical, you camp at location, some have power and some do not, included in the cost of event. mostly arrive friday and saturday leave sunday, if you arrive saturday still the same price.
