Acadian
Hi, I just recently got a 2015 Transit Connect Van (custom order) and picked the "Quickclear electric windshield defroster" option thinking it would be nice to have on those frosty mornings up in the mountains. In my head, I thought it would be a fine filament around the window parameter that would help melt the ice on the windshield but to my surprise, the whole windshield has those. At first I it didn't bother me, but now I noticed them - especially when the sun is hitting my windshield at an angle. Also, at night they somewhat distort my field of vision. Almost like looking through a dirty window (or screen door - although not as bad as an actual screen door) Anyone else notice this or is it just me? - Luc operating engineer O/O
omniphil
After a while you get used to looking through them. But yes, at first it was pretty distracting. On the plus side, I've never had to scrape my windshield this winter. Acadian

On the plus side, I've never had to scrape my windshield this winter. I'm kind of used to it now but I won't lie - if I ever crack my windshield, I'm replacing it with a standard one I only go to the mountains a few times a year and it doesn't fall below freezing that often so I don't mind scraping. Thanks! - Luc
