jlfanch3
Does anyone know if the TC comes prewired for a backup camera. I can't see anything behind the vehicle now that I have moved all of my stuff into the TC.
TechGuy
I recently removed both of the rear side panels I notice that on the left driver side one is a disconnected red/black connector. I own a 2014 Transit Connect Wagon LWB XL that I bought from an Insurance company at an auction with rear and front bumber damage. Mine included the tinted glass swing doors with rear bumper parking sensors but no backup camera :( which I found nonsense. Since I now have it at a body shop I don't have pictures of the connector but I will like to try it. I found a couple of pictures online that I think are helpful but not detailed, relating this loose connector to somekind of backup camera prewire. Notice this wiring guide link on page 14 https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/topics/2014/2014_Transit_Connect_v1-0.pdf I'm a security and surveillance systems professional and can't wait to try some of my HD cameras I hope that cable is connected to the dashboard somehow! Ccrew
Problem will be whether that option needs to be turned on in the CAN bus. I'd be curious if it uses the Focus computer because if so it's accessible. Edited September 9, 2015 by Ccrew
