Need help finding aftermarket radio dash bezel 2014 Wagon

Recommended Posts

Any ideas where I can find one? I did the usual searches on the internet but came up with nothing specific for the 2014 Wagon.

Does anyone know if the 2013+ Ford Escape is a straight swap? They look identical to me (my mother in law has one).

Hey did you find a bezel I looked as well on eBay I think the focus fits too so you can get your own stereo right, so far I'm happy with the radio I only have radio but even that has a AUX in next to the seat so I can hook up my phone works great.

I've done a little bit of looking into this. Currently, the two big manufacturers (Scosche and Metra) don't make a dash kit for any of the newer Ford vehicles. I'm guessing you'll be hard pressed to find much aftermarket support for these since there is a lot tied into that OEM radio and it's a rather cumbersome shape.

Other than maybe USB, I don't see much advantage to an aftermarket receiver. Most of the features can be added through one way or another. A bluetooth to 3.5mm adapter is pretty easy to come by, as are USB chargers and other bits and pieces.

Might want to see if you can get ahold of the guys/gals at ejudged.com. They have a very large aftermarket stereo on their Transit Connect and may be able to offer some insight on how they did that. I don't imagine they used the OEM receiver, but I imagine it's possible.

Relatively inexpensive too. At least a lot less than trying to go aftermarket.

I'm about to order this one. A coworker has a similar one and it works well.

according to the reviews this might be a better option:http://www.amazon.com/BlackBerry-ACC-41596-001-Music-Gateway-Packaging/product-reviews/B008736UWO/ref=dpx_acr_txt?showViewpoints=1#reviews-container?sortBy=helpful&reviewerType=all_reviews&formatType=null&filterByStar=all_stars

you dont have to turning it on and of as the other one when you turn on the car

thanks for the info was very helpful and seems like a great idea to get rid of the wire!

I noticed the transit 12V power outlet does not turn off after you remove the key I'm not sure if its a good thing or bad.

Personally, I prefer it.

My other car turns the outlet off and on depending on whether the key is on or not. It's not really that great for your electronics to be cycled like that. It also means I had to have the car on if I wanted something to charge when I ran into the store or whatever. I find the "always on" outlets a lot more convenient.

The only downside to it is that it creates the opportunity for you to leave something plugged in and completely kill your battery. Just have to be conscious of what you're doing.

Hey Everyone!

Today i received a new gadget for my 2014 TC it is a http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008736UWO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

i did not get a sync or any CD player with my TC but it has a 3.5 Jack in so i can hook up my phone and listen to my music from it but it has to have a the wire to plug in all the time and it is in the way sometimes you know what i mean.

So when the member "Easy" suggested to get a Bluetooth adapter i looked into that option there is a quiet few options out there but all of them has some drawbacks some of them you need to turn on every time you get in to your car, and thats a pain in the back others has a battery but you need to keep them charged .

I did some research and find this blackberry music gateway and it got some positive reviews with some negative ones some people said it adds a hum noise to the music and you need to pump up the volume to hear it . so i was a little skeptical but it had more positive reviews so anyway i decide to order one.

it came in the mail today and i hooked it up to try it out i have a moto x phone it has NFC the blackberry music gateway has NFC as well so pairing is effortless , just tap it to your phone and viola its already paired .

As some people complained about some noise i did not find any hum noise and sound volume is fine to me. The device is smaller than a Zippo lighter seems very high quality made , it comes with different adapters so you can connect it to your home music system as well and a wall power adapter for home use. It will works with any smartphone, its needs power connected to the 12V power outlet in your car with micro USB cable also included same as what you use for your phone to charge but it will turn off after if it does not sense any input signal so thats cool.

Anyway i just wanted to share this might be helpful for someone looking for a similar device.
