emetsger Posted March 25, 2014 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Hi, I'm planning on charging a bank of deep-cycle batteries from my TC 2011 XLT alternator. I am purchasing a product from Sterling Power which will be used to properly charge the deep-cycle batteries (Sterling Power's "Alternator to Battery Charger"), but their product needs to be sized according to the size of the alternator in the TC (i.e. the "Alternator to Battery Charger" needs to be able to handle the current produced by the alternator). 103west43rd Posted March 25, 2014 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Hello Elliot. As per the 2010 workshop manual, 88/150 amps (max) @ 1,800-6,000 alternator RPM, approximately 500-2,000 engine RPM.
