kawpattie
I would like to know why they are going to cost so much more than in the UK? In the UK they are selling the T/C for 9,995 Euro's, that converts to 13,397 Dollars. I cannot imagine that it costs 7000 dollars more to bring them across the pond and convert them into American vehicles! What's up?!?
isellford
I will put in my .02 worth. 1st off the Europen TC is a cargo van with a TDI and manual transmission. All of the vans coming into the US are passenger vans with glass in all of the doors which then have to be removed to make them cargo vans. Also we get a 2.0L gas engine with an automatic transmission and a redesigned body and US emissions. Then they have to ship to the U.K> and then to the U.S. These things all add up. These are just my thoughts on it. Ed Miller Your Transit Connect Connection www.transitconnect.org
tribunius
Well actually they don't use euros in the UK. They use pound sterling. This post is a bit old so the base price (before tax) may have changed but as of today it is 11,950 pound sterling which translates to $19,615.925. Even ignoring all the changes made to them for the north american market in reality we are getting it at a very cheap price.
