I had to replace the upper and lower grille because they were all broken as I was replacing my fogged headlights. I bought a new emblem and retainer, but the spring is not being made right now and all the dealers are out. So, I’m trying to reuse the spring that I got off my old one. I can’t seem to figure out how the spring goes together with the emblem (from the front or back?) - also, can’t figure out the proper position of the spring on the guide that slides through the hole in the grille. I tried pulling it way down on the guide, only down to the notch that fits in the grille and I’ve also tried to put in through the other side and can’t get it to go all the way in. I figured out how to connect it to the retainer, that was easy, but the other end is a mystery to me. Any ideas?

Hi, just took my 2016 SWB Wagon to the dealership on 2/6/17 to have this recall work done, and the rear sliding doors now require excessive force to open them from the outside. This is the recall for the faulty pawl spring tab on the rear sliding door's latches. The recall number is 16S30 "SIDE DOOR LATCH REPLACEMENT". I would estimate it takes at least 4 times the strength to pull the outside door handle than it previously took. My pre-teen daughters now cannot open the doors. Has anyone else had this recall work done yet? I'm wondering if this is an issue with Ford's repair parts, or if my dealership has screwed up. Thanks for the feedback!
