I may be heading to a fuel pump replacement and I can't find any information in the forums regarding this topic. While looking for pumps, there appear to be more than one variation for the 2019. The symptom that leads me to believe its the pump is a whining noise towards the back what does not change with speed, and is constant when it does appear. It also triggers the check engine light and code P0171. Since there are no other components in that back, I'm leaning towards the pump. I'm wiling to take a look at the current one before I order one, but I'd lie some feedback on the process to access the pump being that its in the tank. Is there any information on this somewhere that I am missing? Thanks

I am having an issue with my 2014 Ford Transit Connect. Randomly the fuel pressure will be too low for the car to run/start. The fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail has been replaced, as well as the entire fuel pump assembly in the tank. It is a completely random issue, whether I am driving or have turned it off and am going to start it. It was throwing an engine code for something fuel system related, but after replacing the fuel pump assembly, the code is gone, but the problem is still there. Any ideas as to what could be causing this, or a similar experience?
