1. I have been approved for the Automobile Adaptive Equipment (AAE) Grants and Special Adaptive Equipment Grants as part of the VA's Rehabilitation and Prosthetic Services. 2. I have VA Form 21-4502 signed, approved & in hand. 3. I think that the Ford Transit Connect special purpose van (basically a Minivan) adapted for a Rear Entry wheelchair ramp & locking devises suits my needs best. 4. I do not need the much more expensive Honda, Toyota & Chrysler Minivans. 5. My problem is that I have been told by numerous BraunAbility WAV dealers (*) that the Ford Transit Connect is NOT approved by the Department of Veteran Affaires for the Disability Compensation - Automobile and Special Adaptive Equipment Grants. a. (*) Specifically Carolina Mobility Sales, Charlotte, NC (Re-branded to Achieve Mobility Sales) & MobilityWorks, Atlanta Georgia. 6. Is it true that the VA will NOT approve the Ford Transit Connect for the AAE grants? 7. If so, please tell the reason!

I am in Tampa Bay, Florida. I recently purchased a 2014 Transit Connect CARGO ( no rear seats) . I wanted to add 2nd row seat to it because occasionally while working I may need to pick up the kids. I can flip up the seats and pick then up. I THOUGHT I had located brand new take-out seats but after the purchase of the Transit I have learned that that they are 2013 SEATS and will not fit. CAN anyone help me locate? I am sure someone, somewhere has taken out the 2nd row of seats. I don't care about the color just as long as they fit. I also need the seat belts but I see I can order this from Ford Parts if I need to. If you can help, Call my office 352-835-7504 Trenton

I have a 2010 Transit Connect, and I'm looking for 2nd row seating out of a Transit Connect wagon. Any adivce on where to get a hold of these would be greatly appriciated. I've read the article about how the seats get scrapped out of the vans when they come into the port in Baltimore and have even thought about driving down there to see if I could get ahold of one. Has anyone had any luck locating back seats for their Transit Connect?
