Does anyone have experience of fixing this problem please?
When I squeeze the rear door handle shown, the locking mechanism doesn’t disengage. Although it still requires some force to squeeze the handle (so tightening the hexagonal screw doesn’t seem to be the answer).
I can’t open the rear door, but can access the inspection panel.
My concern is that if I get it open, by dismantling it, or jemmying it I will then find I need a new part, rather than perhaps just reuniting two parts (can’t see a cable) and worse still be unable to lock it.
Garages are still in lockdown mode, but is this something the average person can have a go at or do I need special tools, a new part, tiny hands and an amount of luck?
Need to do it by next Friday!!
