fix your broken armrest
wb6vpm replied to Kevin Van Deusen's topic in 2002-2013 Ford Transit Connect
I know it’s an old thread, but wondering if anything ever came of this? -
I am looking for the following parts for my 2013 TC, as I'm looking to add power door locks to my van, and it doesn't appear that there is any good way to use an aftermarket solenoid: Driver sliding door power door latch with pigtail (I believe the wiring pigtail is part of the lock latch assembly) Passenger sliding door power door latch with pigtail (I believe the wiring pigtail is part of the lock latch assembly) Both driver & passenger sliding door pin contacts (need both the pillar side and the door side, these are contacts at the pillar that allow electrical connectivity between the chassis and door for the door locks) with a wire pigtail of the pillar side connectors to splice into body harness (the door side connects to the aforementioned pigtail from the latch assembly) Rear door power door latch Rear door wiring harness (the door lock side, I do not have rear windows, so I don't need the wiper/heater wires, but not a big deal if they are there though) Interested in, but will depend on price, the rear door trim panels. Would prefer the style that has the storage, but either the flat vinyl or even the XL style "wood" ones are acceptable (including mounting clips as necessary) Thanks in advance everyone!

My understanding is that the (factory) black head keys are the non-transponder style, and the grey heads have a transponder. That said, I have also heard that the non transponder keys have the black plug like shown, whereas the transponder style have a blue plug instead of the black one in the same place at the top of the key. (edited to add the info about the black/blue plug)

I did search before asking, and didn't find any answers, so forgive me if this has been asked before. I did find a thread about the next gen TC that they got it going successfully on a 2015, but since its a different generation, I don't want to assume that it will work the same way. I have a 2013 TC XL Cargo Van, and was wondering if anyone has successfully added the cruise control and steering wheel controls to a 2010 - 2013 era TC that didn't have it out of the factory? What all is needed? I presume I would need a steering wheel that has the buttons for cruise and the stereo, what about the cluster, the clockspring, and column wiring harness? Do I need to activate it in the PCM/BCM either by dealer or using FORSCAN, or does the system just work if it sees the signal from the buttons? Is there anything else I'm forgetting or missing?

I have a company 2013 Transit Connect that has multiple ABS module codes stored, and a PCM code; also, I have the Traction Control and airbag lights come on intermittently at random times. Hopefully someone on here has had a similar set of issues, and can point me in the right direction, I really don't wanna have to make a dealer service department appointment to get this sorted out. ABS Codes: C0044-28: Brake Pressure Sensor "A". Signal Bias Level Out of Range/Zero Adjustment Failure C1137-34: (ABS) Electronic Control Unit failure: Signal Plausibility Failure U3003-16: Battery Voltage: Circuit Voltage Below Threshold C1109-64: Speed Control Actuator Assembly Cable Release Failure: Signal Plausibility Failure C0063-64: Yaw Rate Sensor: Signal Plausibility Failure C0064-01: Roll Rate Sensor: General Electrical Failure C0063-01: Yaw Rate Sensor: General Electrical Failure PCM Code: P0297: Vehicle Overspeed Condition: No Sub Type Information <- Not sure what this code is overall, van never gets over ~75MPH.

Also, discovered why the e-brake (and rear brakes in general) stopped working a bit after I got done working on them, the self-adjuster failed. Appears to have been a manufacturing defect...
-
Hopefully not, but I'm only at ~71K, so (assuming van doesn't fall apart, or company gets tired of doing maintenance/repairs on the van) we'll see...
-
If only, unfortunately, gonna pull the tires back off this evening and see what happened...

Had to do the rear brakes on the companies 2013 Transit Connect last night... What a disaster! Why couldn't Ford just use normal spring pins instead of making me fight to get all of the springs connected between the shoes?!?! Granted, bad lighting in my garage probably didn't help ?. I discovered this morning that I need to pull the tires back off and readjust them, I thought I had gotten them adjusted properly until I pulled the e-brake, LOL! (either that or one of the cables came off).
